Lucy Leavitt and the Case of the Runaway Balloon

Elizabeth, of Paintings by Elizabeth Leavitt, sent me two mini paintings, just because we're friends.

At least I assume that's the reason, though I suppose it's possible she only sends paintings to her mortal enemies.

I love them either way.

Those are awesome! I need more good art in my life. I tend to gravitate toward photography. I need more abstractish stuff.

god, they're gorgeous!

I can think of few things better than getting art in the mail--particularly when it was made by someone you like.

This Elizabeth person is a friend to cherish.

Wow, those are beautiful. They seem like they should be the opening to a magical kids adventure a la James and the Giant Peach.
I love getting actual mail, and I have to agree with Holly that beautiful art in the mail may be the ultimate form of mail.

I thought to myself "maybe someone left comments about the paintings" - they did. I feel fantastic. Thanks all.
